Happy New Year! Posted by Hannah on December 31st, 2009
While it’s still December of 09 here, 2010 is barely 12 hours away, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t post resolutions and some other new year things.
I have a lot of goals for myself this year. Nothing too serious, as I’m very much on the correct path, but I do have goals and I will accomplish them. So here they are! ^_^
- Keep my grades up like I have
- Continue to keep my heart open and possibly find a new mate
- Let myself relax more
- Visit Heather in Colorado or California, however the finances fall and where she is
- Attend an Anime Convention for an entire weekend away from my mother
- Improve my drawing
- Finish a new garment (preferably the one currently sitting on my dress form)
- Be better with uploading photos I’ve taken
Most importantly, be happy. I’ve already vastly improved in ‘09 being more positive and generally more happy, but I’d like to continue on that path. I want to be the best person I can be. I want to finish all of the games I own, including those I just bought, read lots of cute manga and maybe even collect Fruits Basket stuff, and take a lot more photos of my amazing and beautiful pets.
Oh, and funny story about today last year? Today was the first day I had my kitten, Rosie, at our house. Today was the day my one best friend Lauren and I snuck her into the house. XD A year later, she’s just as cute and awesome as then and has turned out to be a hardcore lap cat.
I look back on this year and see so much bad, but only when I look hard. I’m happy with how this year has gone. I’m no longer dating someone who became a jerk. I still have the best group off friends, both online and offline, ever, and I’m striving and working so hard in many ways. I have definitely changed in the last year, and I’m proud of that.
Side note: last night, I went shopping with the above mentioned Lauren where I spent $70 on manga. While that sounds like a lot, it isn’t because I left with 15 volumes. Think, not on sale, $10, that’s over $150 because two of my volumes were more expensive and, online, the cheapest I could find some of these was $8 shipped. I paid $5.
Talk about a great deal!!!
It was also highly amusing to be walking around the mall with a huge bag filled with manga. XD
I wish everyone, even my ex-boyfriend, an amazing new year filled with joy and new adventures. May you find new strengths, new friends, and may you grow positively as a person.
Happy new year, friends.

Happy New Years Hannah!

The first three and very last of your resolutions are on my list too. School has been a complete poop and I really have to get it together. Luckily, this semester is about to end. Next semester doesn’t seem to be that bad. I’m also trying to keep that stress away and focus on more things that will make my life more enjoyable. Possibly finding a ‘mate’
I have tons of photos I never ger to upload. I definitely have to get to that.
Well Hannah, I truly wish you the best on this new year. I hope you get to experience great happiness and have more memorable moments.
That reminds me, how’s life, your studies and your career?
